Pay It Forward gifts reached individuals and families including children with special needs, premature babies, households affected by fire or flooding, those dealing with cancer or other serious illness or injury, people impacted by the loss of a loved one, or victims of domestic violence. Employees also chose to support churches, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, camps, and a huge variety of other organizations.

State Bank & Trust's Pay It Forward gifts have had a powerful impact! Our company's commitment in 2009 totaled than $514,000. But thanks to the generosity of foundations that matched gifts, employees who gave of their own money, and customers and friends who wanted to help, the impact totaled more than $627,000 by the end of 2009.
These gifts reached people in dozens of communities across the country, and even in faraway lands. They helped individuals, families and organizations supporting many causes and needs.
For 2010, State Bank & Trust's commitment is again over half a million dollars - we hope to have an even greater impact as we team with others who want to join us in giving back by Paying It Forward.
